How to Choose Where to Study in?

First things first, if you would like to get a university education, you have to know what it takes to get a university education. Otherwise, it would be impossible for you to get a university education. Applying to a university is not a big deal but study in a university is quite a big deal. First of all, just like any other thing  on the world studying in the university has its own cost and benefits. It requires some capital. It requires some other stuff as well. For example, you have to go through your normal and formal high school education and complete your high school education first. After that, you have to make a search online and learn about the universities and the higher education system. Some students are planning to attend a Turkish university and study in Turkey while other students are planning to attend a vocational school and other type of schools. Vocational schools in Turkey are also great and offer many financial aid and scholarships.  It depends on what type of a school a student would like to attend and what type of a major the student would like to study. Their mindset and their father’s mindset is also a factor.

In some countries fathers and mothers are crucial during the decision making process. In the western countries such as United States, England, France, Italy and Canada, students make their own decision and decide about their future. However, in Asian countries the family structure is much different than the Western and developed countries. In a western country a student can sit down and makes a search about the university that he wants and apply to it. However, in an Asian country generally the student’s father or mother can go through the process and complete the procedures. This is the general procedure, however it generally comes down the mindset, the abilities of the student and their father’s financial situation. If a student wants to study in Netherlands, Germany, France or Italy, he has to understand that those countries are generally expensive and life costs are high as well. In English-speaking countries such as United States, England or Canada the education quality is great but those countries are expensive as well. That’s why I always tell to students to go and talk to their parents. Because everyday tons of students ask me questions about attending to a university and they ask about my suggestions. I tell them studying in a university is such a broader term. They need to know academic departments, they need to know programs, they need to know possible job opportunities etc. They need to know about the countries and the education quality of some certain countries as well. However, the most important thing for me is, they need to know about their father’s financial situation or if there is any other person who are going to support them financially during the study. This makes a great difference, because even if there are countless of scholarships opportunities around, a student needs to understand the financial situation and act accordingly. Otherwise, that student can go through so much trouble. I have seen many students who go through that situation personally, so, that’s why I always warn students around me in that matter. I am sure that if a student thinks about these subjects long enough, he is going to have an amazing university journey..
